Poor itinerary ?
Hello. Basically my question is: How many days are recommended for Nainital and Haridwar/Rishikesh? (To/from Delhi.)More detailed: A total of 13 days; is it a bit too much for the following itinerary?
Delhi (2 days)- Agra/Fatehpur Sikri (2 days) - Delhi (only to catch the sleeper to Kathgodam) - Nainital - Haridwar/Rishikesh - Delhi (flight to Kerala).
If 13 days are too many, I will be very happy to have suggestions where to spend more days. Rajasthan will maybe be too ambitious..?
As you understand, we have to end up in Delhi.
We are arriving India mid-Nov.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Why your preference for these places?Nainital a pleasant enough spot but a bit commercialised, full of honeymooners, some easy strolls in the surrounding hills.
Rishikesh, interesting if you're into yoga and spirituality.
Haridwar..just a transit stop on the way to Rishikesh.
I may be biased, because my passion is trekking..and I have only ever used these places as stopovers en route to the mountains. YMMV.
If you're just into Indian life/culture/history, I'd stick to Rajasthan. If you want the Himalayas go beyond Nainital and Rishikesh but it may be getting a bit late in the season for trekking.

You could consider adding one or more of bhimtal/naukuchiyatal and binsar/kausani to Nainital. How do you plan to go from Nainital to Hardwar? One option would be to travel Kathgodam/Ramnagar/Lansdowne/Rishikesh. November 13th is Diwali and and leads up to the busiest time in Rajasthan ( but also the best time in terms of weather)6
Hey,13 days are enough.
Give Rishikesh 2-3 days.
Apart from Nainital and Haridwar, you should have time to visit Dehradun and Mussourie also.
Nainital will be crowded in november and there isn't much to see/do anyway.
I'd suggest, instead of Rajasthan, you visit some place in Himachal Pradesh.
If you think you'll be able to do justice to your Rajasthan adventure then scrap Dehradun and Mussourie and head to Rajasthan straight.

linde13 days for your circuit will be just fine. It gives you enough time to explore each location and then move on just before you have had enough.
BTW
The weather is just dandy here in Almora with warm clear days and just the touch of a chill in the evening. The last of the summer flowers are disappearing as the women cut the fodder.
