Recommend me a hostel in Rio, Brazil!
As the title I'm flying into Rio to stay for around 2 weeks before heading on down to Argentina! Can someone recommend me a fun, lively hostel in a central location? I like that sort of placed that organise trips and activities as I'll be on my own and hoping to meet a few fellow travellers :)1
Define central? Do you want to be on Ipanema or Copacabana beach? Or do you want to be in Lapa? Or Santa Teresa?Centro in Rio is close to Lapa. But its a trek to get to the beaches. And vice versa to get to centro from the zona sul.

I suggest you to find a hostel in Ipanema, near the metro.If you want something cheaper, a hostel in Botafogo or Flamengo would also be a good choice.

I wouldn't recommend the one I stayed at. Though I hear the Cafofo Hostel in Botofogo is good. As is Lemon Spirit in Leblon. And Rio hostel in Santa Teresa is good.It really depends on what you want.

I like the Terra Brasilis Hostel, the area is fantastic - Bohemian Santa Teresa. The Santa Teresa Square is just a few min walk away. Short walk to the night life. The hostel is really nice, it is clean and good atmosphere. The views are amazing. We had a really great stay here. http://www.BrasilisHostel.com
