Re: Tourists Dating EuropeansIt is with a combination of relief and regret that I find our new little friend has left us so soon. And has taken his various threads with him.
I was a bit surprised that none of the responses to his questions stated the obvious: that unless OP (who shall remain nameless) speaks a European language or two, and was planning to stay in one place for a longer time than the average tourist--a lot longer--his odds of finding a date were slim to none. Thus rendering moot his fears of racist attitudes.
Furthermore, and I'm trying to base this not on stereotypes but on my limited observations: the social circles of young adults tend to have few openings for total strangers, and the relationships between young adults of which I'm aware seem to be surprisingly durable.
Or are the young European adults I know just more stable and closely-knit than usual?
Finally: any idea what European women think of short, fat, balding, impoverished middle-age American men?

1You were doing alright until you slid in the word impoverished!!
I guess it depnds on where you meet people in local or quiet bar then it is hard to join in an established circle but when at a club of lively bar then a lot of people are their for meeting others and thats when things happen. I guess from country to country it changes. Having lived in Norway & Finland then Spain and Italy there is a big difference with regard to interaction.
In both Norway & Finland it is not uncommon for a stranger of the opposite sex to go up to a stranger and begin a conversation, no matter what the location is. Where as this is not really going to happen in Spain or Italy and certainly not with the same undertones.
To me the further South you get in Europe it becomes harder to interact with the opposite sex.
So thining about this today's top tip if your single especially a guy head north as opposed to south!!!

I think possibly because right at the start he said something along the lines of that he knows that the UK has funny ideas about people from East India. I guess the powers that be didn't want other people getting the idea that was in any way true. He went on saying that the people on here obviously don't like inter racial relationships. He came across as a bad wind up, stupid or a rather offensive person. It also trended as one of the most popular threads a few times. I'm not in to censorship but I can understand why they did it.

It's either a typo or a Mother I'd Like to Kiss- Kissing presumably as much of a euphemism as 'dating' was in the post that started this thread. With a classy lady like Lady Clementine, one should't use vulgar language like the much more common 'MILF'
Im a little uncomfortable with my private life being so publicly on display here. It seems i'd better go back to Craig's list (any relation, by chance?) where the 'Casual Encounters' section offers a slightly more discrete and just as receptive audience who are more accustomed to providing a quick snapshot in return.
Au revoir, mon amour. And give little Clementis a pat on the back from me.
