accommodation in RovaniemiPlanning a 2-full days visit to Rovaniemi, definitely going to the Santa Clause Village for the 2 kids(under 4 yrs). Just wonding if the Village has enough to keep us busy for 2 full days? I'm asking because I'm deciding where to stay.
- I'm also considering to go to the Arctice Winter Wonderland right next to Samta Clause Village if we have time? Is it worth going?
- Is there anything to see around the "main town"?
- if we want to go/stay outside Santa Clause Village, is it necessary to rent a car?
any recommendation on where to stay?
thank you so much!!!

1Check out Borealis Guesthouse near the railway station. Theres also Hostel Rudolph which belongs to Santa Claus hotel I believe. You can get to Artic Circle and back from the city by bus. If you are only staying in Rovaniemi/Arctic Circle ares, no need for a rental car - bus and taxi will be cheaper overall if only a few days. In Rovanimi city, you can also visit the Arktikum (Arctic science museam, fee) and the new Angry Birds playground which the kids might enjoy (no fee). Not sure if "Arctic Wonderland" you are referring to is SantaPark or not...but if so, the kids might enjoy the elf school which is free, but beyond that you generally have to pay for other attractions inside, even after paying an entrance fee. I think Arctic Circle and Santas village may be enough.

5I'd recommend finding a hotel/hostel in the town centre. There's really no proper dining etc. opportunities in the arctic circle, unless you want to spend a fortune on bad gas station meals. The bus from centre to arctic circle runs frequently, use that. If by the Winter Wonderland you mean Santa Park I'd say go, most likely small children will be thrilled.
In town you can go see for example Arktikum (as someone mentioned earlier) and Korundi.
