Election, maps, etcI'm considering a week in Georgia later this month. Does the election result impact travel in the country in any way? Also, I can't locate any road maps for the region. Can someone let me know where to find maps for Georgia and/or the region?

1No, the election won't have any impact on travel at the moment. Everything seems to have passed pretty smoothly, and any reforms will come in gradually from January onwards (once president Saakashvili leaves office).
I don't know too much about print maps to be honest, other than the fact that here in Batumi the tourist information centres give out (free?) maps of the city/region. Online, Google and Openstreetmaps.org both have mapping for Georgia, the latter is a little more accurate in my experience.

3I just got back from Georgia yesterday and witnessed nothing to worry about election wise.
We used two different road maps and they were both terrible. Do not get these two.
The maps often misled us by saying something was a divided highway, but it ended up being a dirty and boulder strewn path through mountains.
We found our iphone map app to be the best. I just got an international data package and worked great.
