What is the best place in the world that you have travelled to and why?

Hi there!
I'm just interested to know where is the best place in the world that you have ever traveled to? And why was that place your favourite?
Any answers are much appreciated! Thanks so much :)

I am looking for places that people have been and liked so that I can hopefully visit them! I'm planning ahead a little, and trying to organize some holidays. I have had a change of plans as to where I will take a holiday next year. :)

Ok, so for me it was Nassau. Nice weather, nice and funny people, great beaches, good food and music all around. The only bad point was thousands of Americians coming from the cruises but just for the day over.

I've heard some good things about Nassau before from work mates and family. I might just add that to my list of places to travel too. I really would love to go to different countries and experience a completely different culture. Thanks so much for your response regards - I am going to check out Nassau. :)

I've loved practically everywhere I've traveled. Because I travel based on my own interests and research, not someone else's.

If you get 100 answers to your question, how will you narrow them down?

I'd suggest avoiding Western Europe. No Wendy's here yet. Just McDonald's and Burger King.
It makes me sad.

If you like nature, camping, hiking, or just wandering around by car or catching local buses, you're going to love Norway: a succession of lakes, waterfalls, fjords, glaciers, islands and some of the most amazing landscapes ever!

I guess I would have to say where I live, Traverse CIty, Michigan, a lot of natural beauty especially with Lake Michigan. Then I would have to say the Northern Ontario Canadian wilderness. Then I would have to say, Je suis fou de Paris!

I will stick to countries, otherwise the list will be too long (and you will need too much time to visit all my suggestions)

Japan
Argentina
Nicaragua
Ethiopia
South Africa
Indonesia
Bolivia
Iran
Italy
Tibet (ok,I know its not technically a country.....)

That should keep you going for a couple of weeks at least ;-)

Wow! That is quite a question!

Can I just say Planet Earth?

How about:

NZ
Patagonia
Bolivia
Iguazu
NW Argentina
Bolivia
Berlin
Prague
Florence
Slovenia
Bosnia and Hercegovina
Croatian Islands (amazing climbing!)
Krakow
High Tatras
Wales (does that count? I am English and went to uni in Wales but love going back)
London

I better stop now........

apologies, I misspelled 'Kahil, Yemen' in my post above. I sure wouldn't want you to end up in the wrong place!

I also forget to mention:
USAT Liberty, Bali.
