1 night in Phuket, Where to stay?

1 night in Phuket, Where to stay?
In December I am travelling trough Thailand for 3 weeks.I am taking a flight from Chiang Mai to Phuket and will arrive around 14.30 at the airport of Phuket.
This is to late to get on the ferry straight away so I need to stay on Phuket for 1 night.
Does anyone have some recommendations of where to stay?
It would be great if it was somewhere where I could easy book a ferry ticket to Koh Lanta and where it is easy to get to the ferryport the next morning.

Don't know what your budget is but i satyed at Minotel when i was there. Think it's about 800-900 a night but very good location, central, big rooms, clean,tv, air con etc. There was a place outside where you could buy tickets to Koh Lanta and i imagine you would be given a time and picked up at the hotel which would take you to the ferry port which is 30 mins or so away.3
@mcam_au: Yes maybe but flying to Krabi/Trang from Chiang Mai isnt really handy and to Phuket there is a direct flight. So thats why I do it that way. Its ok for me!@graeme: 800-900baht is a bit above my price (around 500baht) but for 1 night it could be an option. I will check it out!

The ON ON has been closed the past two months. They finally kicked out the foreign old guy who had been living there 20+ years who refused to leave and wanted to die there.
