Lake Attabad closure

Lake Attabad closure

Does anyone out there know if the lake closes because of winter? Sometime similar to the Khunjerab Pass?

Yes it does freeze during winters. Some adventurous folks walk across it but am not sure how safe it is to do so!

yes, heard the same - regular boat service - also heard you can walk around it now? esp if it's frozen and you don't fancy a wander across the ice? this is correct, thornies?

Fiber boats run even in winter (Jan-Feb).
