Decisions, Decisions! Help me make some.

Sooooo, am currently in the Misiones Province, Argentina visiting the mighty Iguazu falls, having arrived this afternoon on the overnight bus from Buenos Aires.

I am bascially looking for a bit of advice on where to head next, I will be here 3 days total. My only time constraint is that i have a flight from Rio to Peru on the 16th of November, where i will do a 24 day GAP adventures tour. Its just the itinerary options in between here and Rio which im undecided on, im backpacking on a slightly better than shoestring budget if that helps. Was thinking of heading to florianopolis from here and then working my way up the coast to rio. Any alternatives or better ways to spend my time? Flew into Santiago, spent 4 days there, then went on to Mendoza 7days, and just spent another 7 in BA. Was even considering doing some more time in argentina, possibly Salta? Am very open to suggestions, any help given is much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Tim

Well. IMO the northeast (above Rio) is much more interesting than the south, and the weather might be warmer too.

Hey, you're just in time for the October festivities in Santa Catarina!
So you should go to Florianopolis, the capital of Santa Catarina state.
After you enjoy the beaches and the night life of 'Floripa', head to the Oktoberfest in Blumenau, which is a city two hours away from Florianopolis. Blumenau was colonized by Germans, so every year they celebrate their own Oktoberfest, a beer festival with music and parades.

Besides Oktoberfest, there's a smaller festival near Blumenau called Schützenfest in the city of Jaraguá do Sul.

On the way to Blumenau from Florianopolis you can stop at Balneario Camboriú to visit Parque Unipraias if you like nature and forest sightseeing. Balneario Camboriú has good night life too, many bars.
