transmongolian from Moscow on 10/3
Hello I am 31 yr old an American traveling with my girlfriend on the transmongolian departing Moscow on 10/3. I am just reaching out to other travellers to see if anyone else is taking this same route. We are actually breaking trip up and spending five days in listvyanka and five in ulaaanbaatar.as well so we will be on later trains as well.1
There are so many train options that even if someone is leaving the same day, they may not be traveling on the same train. There are lots of times that I have traveled on trains in Russia and never seen another foreigner. This doesn't mean that you won't have a good time. Just be sure to bring lots of food with you to share with others as eating in the dining car gets pretty expensive and very boring.Ruth

Dont spend 5 days in Listvyanka unless you want to walk round Krugobaikalka (but 2 days would be enough for that). Go for Olhkon instead - much further, much wider, unforgetable, and 5 days is just enough time to do it.Dont spend 5 days in Ulaan Baator, 5 hours would be perfectly enough. Better take some trips round Mongolia.
