Ha Long Bay
I'm a backpackers and I'm looking to plan 2 days trip by boat on Ha Long Bay, but I need some suggestions:Whereas I will fly on Hai Phong the day before the boat trip, is better to go in Ha Long or to Cat Ba island in order to find an accomodation for the night and a travel agencies for book the tour of the day later?
All the agencies make the excursion in Long Bay or exist something of alternative?
At the end of the tour (I think around 16:00) I would try to directly go to Ninh Binh....In some thread I have read that maybe there is a evening bus should go over there...but from where terminal/city the bus leave???

Hai Phong airport to Hai Phong bus station just around 3-4kmit take a bit more than 2 hours from Hai Phong to Halong
there is plenty of Hotel in Halong
you better book before the day you got to Halong
normally tour come from Hanoi to halong and junk cruise depart 12pm
You can negotiate because you dont need transportation from Hanoi to Halong
There is plenty of bus From Halong and cross Ninh Binh , 5 minutes from Habour to Bai Chay bus station in Halong
Destination called Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Vinh... whatever it will cross Ninh Binh.
be careful on the bus because you are foreigner and ask for price first because lots of these buses are really scam and rip off foreigner who travelling alone
