Where to go in the Great White North??

We are planning 5 days (during the US Thanksgiving) in Nov. Where is the best place to go; Quebec City, Nova Scotia or BC??? We are traveling w/2 adult boys and this will be out first trip outside of Toronto where my husband & I now live.

That's about when the ski hills in BC open up if you're into that. November is a little wet and gloomy on the coast (this is the time of year people go storm watching on the west coast of the island). It is a little sunnier in the interior.

I think if I had to pick any month anywhere in Canada I hated most, it would be November lol.

I live in Vancouver and I always leave town for the month of November, dark, raining &cold.

I'd rather be in the Philippines on a beach!

I'll be back for ski season tho....!

While shivaz's assessment of Nova Scotia is correct, November is about the worst time to visit. The summer tourism season will be over, but nothing really wintery will be on at that time. That's just really not a great time to travel anywhere in Canada.

With only five days, and going from Toronto, I'd say go to Quebec City. Getting to BC will take you most of a day each way and there is a 3 hour time difference. Nova Scotia, as mentioned, is not ideally visited at that time of year (although I have, when family members lived there) but you could fly in to Halifax and enjoy the city and environs. I also agree with what others have said about November being a crappy time in most of Canada... I'm headed for the Mediterranean. :)
