Deluxe Sleeper Train Cairo to LuxorHello,
I am interested in taking the Deluxe Sleeper train from Giza to Luxor in late December. Since this is considered high season, was wondering how far in advance I should buy the tickets (thanks to the website Seat 61 for showing how to buy online!) How far in advance does the website allow bookings?
Also, I will be traveling with my boyfriend. But according to the rules posted on the sleeper train website, it states that opposite sex couples booking a cabin together should show a marriage certificate. Does anyone know if this rule is actually enforced? Will they refuse us travel or put us in different cabins? If anyone has experience with this any advise would be very much appreciated!
Thanks so much!

1Regarding sharing a cabin when you're not married; I suspect that it's the same scenario as hotels and cruiseboats etc., i.e. if one of you is Egyptian then you must have 'marriage' papers, it's the law!. But if you're both foreigners then Egyptian marriage laws don't really concern you, and I believe that you'll find that the authorities are not interested.
