Best way to get from Heathrow to Edinburgh?

in English we say 'my boyfriend is sensibly saying that a long drive, on the wrong side of the road for us, jetlagged after a long flight, is not a good idea'.

Well, if you really want to take the train:Heathrow - Piccadilly Line tube to King's Cross Station (about a hour).
Train from King's Cross to Edinburgh (5 hours).
Book tickets for the train in advance.
