9 days in Montenegro, how to plan it?
Hello,i've been checking out this forum for a while now, but my questions still remain.
This summer my boyfriend and I will make a trip, flying to Tivat on 8 juli and we need to take
a bus to Dubrovnik on 17 juli.
so we have from 8 till the 17th in Montenegro. We can't rent a car because we both can't drive.
we would like to see Sveti Stefan, Kotor, Zabljak, Biogradska Gora and Lake Skadar. We don't know
which buses drive between those cities, and how long it takes to travel. So I don't know if we can see all this places? And how long/ how much nights we should stay in a place to see all we want.
Thank you

You can't visit Sveti Stefan unless you stay at the hotel there. But you can take a hike and see the place from afar. It's an easy day trip from Kotor or Bar. See this map: near Sveti StefanYou can split your time between Kotor, Bar (as a possible base to see Lake Skader), Zabljak and someplace near Biogradska Gora but there are other places worth seeing such as Stari Bar and Cetinje.
Without a car it is possible but will be more difficult as bus schedules are not all that frequent. Try this website for bus information but note that there are also some seasonal changes which won't be on here. http://www.autobusni-kolodvor.com/en/timetable.aspx
And how long/ how much nights we should stay in a place to see all we want.
Since I don't know what you want to see, this is an impossible question to answer. For example, we spent two nights in Zabljak but could easily have spent more doing more hikes, rafting on the river, etc. We spent a day in Cetinje but didn't go to the nearby Lovcen National Park to do any hiking. We only spent an hour at Lake Skader but we drove along a good part of the lake's shore. Ruth

You pick a great time for visiting Montenegro, just the best way to see Montenegro is not with buses, cause they are not reliable, the best way is getting the car, or hire somebody with the car to take you where you are interested in. If you need some help here in Montenegro you can contact me by message, I live in Kotor, town you have to visit when you are in Montenegro.
