Restaurant in Buenos aires

Last year when in Buenos Aires went to a fabulous restaurant. Little thinking I would be back there again next March I destroyed the details. It was a small shabby looking place in a rundown street but apparently (and rightly so) had the best steaks in town. We sat at a table covered with an oilcloth tablecloth and had the rib eye steak. The owner recommended a very good wine which was not expensive. If anyone thinks they might know the name please let me know. I got it from a website which I think might have been Lonely Planet.

Rundown street and stained tablecloth is very little in terms of location. BA is a huge city. If you could remember at least which part? I'd be guessing it could be SanTelmo.

Not enough info. There are hundreds of restaurants like that in BA. Was it basically a parrilla just serving grilled meats or was it more a bit of everything? Could be Desnivel in San Telmo (trying to remember their tablecloths), Could be El Obrero in La Boca. Could be so many places.

Very broad and difficult question but go to El Desnivel 855 Av Defensa in San Telmo for a similar, if not the same experience???????
