Somehow that sounds appropriate.

I've had kosher beef bacon. It's not too bad actually. I'm sure there's halal beef bacon although I haven't seen it. I'm also sure it tastes a lot like the kosher stuff.

Mmmm. I'm intrigued. Would you cook it and eat it in the same way? And what should accompany it?
Possibly a halal food shop for me this weekend.

Yup - cook it just like regular bacon. My mom would make BLT's out of them (bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches for anyone around who's not familiar). She never served it on the side as a breakfast item (i.e. eggs and bacon) but I don't see why you couldn't. As I remember it, it tasted a lot like pork bacon.

Maybe supplement some of the shortage of domestic pigs for bacon curing with meat from feral pigs/wild boars that roam in the forest and countryside that are considered pests in some countries?
