Transit Visa Questions

Hello all!

I am an American working in China, and do have a Chinese residence permit. I am currently planning my trip out for my winter break, which is about a month. Going up to Harbin for the winter ice festival, then plan to take the bus to Vladivostok for a couple of days. From there, I will take the ferry to Sakaiminato, Japan.

So my question is...how do I get a Russia transit visa here in China? I'm new to living in a different country and don't know what the easiest and most cost effective way is. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks!
Patrick

A Russian Transit Visa is date specific. Ask for a normal tourist visa, you have 30 days to enter Russia and you are not presed to enter at a certain day. Go to a Russian consulate or a visa service in China, they can help. I am sure the price of a transit visa is not higher than a tourist visa. If using a visa service you will deal with people doing the job the year round. They can organize also the "fake invitations" etc.

Yes, if you have residence status.
