long stopover Dubai - Emirates

Hi there,
This December I am travelling from Copenhagen (denmark) to Auckland (New Zealand), but I have a 11 hour stop over in Dubai. As I'm gonna be an Au Pair my agency booked me these tickets and told me that Emirates provides med with vouchers for hotel and meals during this time. As I'm a 19 year old girl this is my first time flying by myself and I would like to be a little preparred for how this "long stop over"- thing is going to be.
My agency told me to pick up the vouchers at Check in at Copenhagen Airport. Then I will offcourse get through security etc., get in the plane and hopefully reach Dubai. But then I would like if any of you guys have tried this long stopover thing and could tell me what to do when we get off the plane in Dubai?
I'm told that I will be staying at Copthorne Airport Hotel, and as it is during night-time in Dubai there won't be any reason to go sightseeing, just time for a nap, a shower and something to eat.

Thank you very much :D

The check-in staff at Copenhagen will advise you what to do when you get off the plane in Dubai. It is very easy - go to the transfer desk when you arrive in Dubai, show them the hotel vouchers and the staff will ensure you get to the hotel. The hotel is very close to the airport.

I stayed at the Millenium Hotel (9 hour stopover from Buenos Aires Argentina to Cairo Egypt). The whole thing was very easy: I got the vouchers at BA airport and showed them at the transfer desk in Dubai. Once in the hotel the gave me a room and 3 tickets (refreshment, dinner and breakfast).

Will i need to pick up my luggage or will it be checked in directly to Auckland?
Will I need Visa or other papers before departure?

Thank you again :)

You won't need to pick up your luggage. Check emirates.com: long stopover and visa requirements (you'll surely be granted a 96 hour free visa on arrival).
