iquitos or another jungles
im now in huaraz and suppose to decide if to go iquitos (and all the region around)all iquitos and around is a jungles?
and if it is-should i try another jungles area in peru?(madre de dios?)
which jungles area is more recomended?
and which is more chiper to get and travel in ?iquitos or madre de dios?

Hello!All of the area around Iquitos is jungle, yes.
Madre de Dios is a different type of jungle from the Amazon around Iquitos. More biodiversity because the mountains are so close, and with smaller rivers (so no pink dolphins in Madre de Dios).
Both are beautiful, and the cost is comparable. It is possible to go by boat from Yurimaguas (near Tarapoto) to Iquitos in 3 days. Access to Madre de Dios is by road from Cuzco. You can fly to Iquitos directly, or to Puerto Maldonado in Madre de Dios.
