Recommendation for Spanish language school in Lima for total beginner

Hi,

I have just found out that I'll have to stay in Lima for 3-7 working days to wait for visa to go to Argentina, at the end of my trip here in Peru. The consulate needs to keep my passport there the entire time, so I cannot leave the city at all during the time (no bus or flight without passport...). Studying spanish is my idea of meaningful way to kill time while waiting for the visa...

I have been travelling in Latin America since late June, but am a total beginner for the language (I know less than 15 sentences...). So ideally I would like to study Spanish in a "crash course" instead of "immersion course". If you know any good schools in Lima (ideally in or around Miraflores), could you please recommend them to me?

Thanks a lot in advance!
LH

Schools in Miraflores with some reputation are El Sol (elsol.idiomasperu.com) and Hispana (www.hispanaidiomas.com). There are more. It may be a good idea to through those schools find a teacher who can teach you privately.

Hi LH987,

I have just posted about Amauta Spanish School in Cusco and Argentina. I was there with my family recently and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, actually while I was there I asked about their school in Lima and they have a branch there aswell. If you are still looking for schools I really recommend getting intouch with them I was really impressed with the teachers lesson tequiques in both places, which shows that the teacher coordinator does put alot of importance into the selection of their teachers in all branches of the school. I hope this helps and good luck with your studies and travels!
