31"but I'm sure he knows that I've seen loads of beaches over the years"
I doubt that and see no evidence of that.
"That's not really correct. People with money hang out by the pool working on their tan"
Wrong, they are hiring yachts and doing tours all over the place.
"Also Lanta, Phangan, Krabi and the Gulf coast"
Wow you mentioned a couple of names.
"Once again HMWG is caught out. Thais are not great travellers, in general."
Wrong again, I've been to places where 90% of the tourists are Thai - you need to get out more.
"Most of the cheap 300 baht huts I've stayed in have a good bed, and ARE large comfortable rooms."
Where's the proof? Post a link instead of making things up.

35"I've often rubbished them for sitting in bars watching B movies when there's great stuff going on elsewhere."
They probably see more of Thailand than you. You sit on the net and carry on like an old man who hasn't been anywhere in years.

38"You are on the forum as much as I, and you post very little of assistance to anyone. Most of your posts are rubbishing me and other frequent posters."
You talk non stop BS. Rubbishing tropical islands and talking down good resorts. You say you live there yet you know stuff all about having a holiday there.
I asked you which islands you have been to and your list was short. You claim Thais don't like to travel yet 80% of the destinations in Thailand mainly cater to Thais. Most of the mainland hotels outside of Bangkok, CM, CR, Pattaya, Krabi are catering to Thais. Many of these hotels will have 50-100 Thais and little to no farangs.
"Took Lai Dee isn't a roadside diner"
"I've said that I like to go for long walks."
Again who cares? You're so focused on your own drivel you can't offer any decent advice.
Saying every second island is a shithole is not advice. You're a sad old man.
"! I always thought bargirls were real women""
So you lack the personality to attract non bargirls. I can see why.

39HMWG you are either a very angry wo/man or a very sad one.
I think it's the latter, as you appear to enjoy attacking everyone.
Might be helpful if you answered some questions on the forum, rather than just putting everyone down.
No, most Thais don't like to travel as in the sense of western travellers. They like to go somewhere that they can stay in an hotel, sit on a beach and talk to each other, and eat/ drink.
That's while Pattaya is so popular with Thais from Bkk, while you won't see many western "travellers" there.

40I'm rather happy which is the opposite of you. You're a sad old man who's always angry. What kind of person calls tropical islands shitholes all the time? Compared to most places on earth these "shitholes" are great. Have a nice day angry old man.
"That's while Pattaya is so popular with Thais from Bkk, while you won't see many western "travellers" there"
Pattaya is one of the most visited spots by farangs. It's popular with Thais from Bangkok because it's close dopey. Cha-am and HH are also popular for the same reason. They often take 2-3 day breaks and these locations are cheap to get to and close.

41If you think western "travellers" visit Pattaya in large numbers, you've either never been there or are deluded.
The westerners that visit Pattaya aren't there for the temples or the culture.
Anyway, Phukit probably has more western tourists than Pattaya.
Compared to most places on earth these "shitholes" are great
You have obviously been to few places on earth then! There are thousands of beaches all over the world that are better than P P or Phukit. They just don't have the accomodation or the transport links.
Even Burma probably has better ones.
