One Way Rental Tangier - Fes

Hello Everyone,

we are looking for a car rental agency that is renting vehicles for one-way drives from Tangier to Fes. We have tried a few websites but none of them had one way rentals available....anyone knows how or if this can be done?

As an alternative, how is public transport between Tangier, Meknes and Fes? What would you recommend?

Thanks for any help!

Europcar allow drop offs in different places than pickups.

So do Avis and Hertz. Better idea: take the train.

I use Amine Cars in Tangier. They gave great personal service and good rates. All local rental companies I’ve used in Morocco have been able to offer a pick-up service, and budget did a few years ago too. The charge for the service seemed to range from the price of the drivers bus ticket and the return fuel to a small reasonable fixed price. I found the local companies to be more flexible on price (bartering can be possible with local companies but haven’t been successful with the multinationals) and they were more open to pick-ups and unusual requirements.

The drive down to Fes is easy and you could take in Chefchaouen on the way down for some R&R before the madness of Fes.

Take the train: www.oncf.com

Here are the train times from Tangiers to Fes and Meknes in on the way. "Correspondance" means change at these places

Départ Arrivée Correspondance
08h25mn 13h00mn -
10h40mn 15h00mn -
13h05mn 17h35mn -

21h35mn 02h10mn SIDI KACEM
21h35mn 02h30mn SIDI KACEM
22h35mn 03h00mn

The price is 155 dirham

Thanks for the helpful advice everyone, much appreciated!

The train might be another good option, but we were planning to see some stuff on the way that might be easier to reach with a car (Asilah, Volubilis).
