I am an Italian girl who is actually living in Germany but dreams about another travelling year. I have been a year around Australia, Pacific and South East Asia and now I have a proper job in Germany. Life is too short though to stay too long in a place ;) I am an experienced traveller then and I am used to travel on my own, I love meeting fellow travellers on the way.
My plan is to say goodbye again to everyone in a year, then end of 2013 and I am trying to think which is the best way to do it.
I wanna save money in a year and then leave.
My first plan would be to start in October/November from Colombia or Ecuador and end in Rio de Janeiro for the carnival. I wanna see Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay. No interest in Venezuela or Paraguay and Brasil (only the carnival). So let´s say a 5 months time...or maybe 6...
What is the best route?? I am trying to figure out the best months to see each country and avoding rain or bad weather. Money budget would be at around 8000-9000 euros, it should be enough...is it?
I speak to a lot of people around and do not quite understand if a sola female traveller in South America can be safe.. it would not be the first time and I know how I have to avoid situations, places and so on... but I wanna hear more opinions please!
After this experience then I will be out of money :) therefore I do not know if to go to Canada or New Zealand for doing a year or half a year of working holiday... first of all I hate the cold and the snow, so I wanna avoid Canadian winter... New Zealand winter is still bearable though... but as Canada is in the north, I may go to Canada when I finish in South America cause summer starts there... but at the same time Canada is too big to be visited shortly, people can see NZ in a month...
Should I maybe go first working in those place and then South America?? In order to follow the good seasons??
PLEASE advices!!! Sorry for he confusion! and thanks for any message!

2There are a couple of questions in your OP that only you can answer.
As for the South Am route, it's too vast area to be covered in one reply.
Basically, you can start in Colombia and proceed to Peru via Leticia and to Iquitos (that's the jungle way), or via Ecuador. Then overland to Buenos Aires and Rio.
Time you'd need for each country:
Colombia - 4 weeks
Ecuador - 2-3 weeks
Peru - 5 weeks
Bolivia - 4 weeks
Argentina (the northern half) - 3 weeks. Add 2 weeks for the south/Patagonia.
You can include Paraguay too when you'll be visiting Iguazu.
For Uruguay max 1 week.
The remain of your time, Brazil.
€8000-9000 will be enough for the entire trip. You need to know that some countries are cheaper, others more expensive. Bolivia is cheapest, followed by Peru and Ecuador. Argentina and Brazil much more expensive.
South Am is generally safe to travel for a solo female, but like everywhere you need to use safety precautions specific for each country or city.
Good luck with your planning.
