Travel Partner for Dec/Jan 2012
So Im tired of traveling on my own and would love a partner in crime...I have about 5 weeks off and am looking to travel either in India or Burma. I am looking to travel all of Dec and into the first week of January. For India, I am interested in exploring mostly southern india and maybe even sri lanka. I have previously traveled in Northern India two years ago, mostly hitting up the usual cities (delhi, varanasi, udaipur, jailsalmer, pushkar). So i would like to explore southern india.
I am a 28 year old female who has traveled extensively, I live in the US but also speak Polish. Im easy going, and get along really well with other travelers. When traveling I like to eat the local food, take endless pictures, talk with the locals and do some adventurous activities if available. Im definitely more of a culture vulture than a partier when visiting countries.
Anyone looking for a travel companion around this time? I am also open to other countries...

I will be doing almost similar trip as you would be doing, but i cant join before 1st january. Surely can do that 1st january 2013 onwards for all the sites in karnataka, viz., mysore, shravanbelagola, halebidu, belur, coorg, mangalore, murudehswara, gokarna, hampi.But this all isnt confirmed coz of paucity of time.
Yea it some times does get boring to travel alone.
see if visiting the above said places suits you for the dates between 1-10 january.

Hi Hidaria, If you plan to do South India, the places that you should definitely visit are:Andhra Pradesh - Hyderabad, Kuntala & Pochera Falls, Visakhapatnam, Araku Valley, Borra Caves
Karnataka - Bangalore, Coorg, Mysore, Jog Falls
Tamil Nadu - Chennai, Kodai Kanal, Ooty
Kerala - Wayanad, Munnar, Thekkady, Aleppy, Kovalam
There are lot more places to visit, but these ones are a must for a photographer (I am a photographer myself). Some places offer hiking and camping. I can do the Andhra Pradesh and parts of Karnataka with you.
