Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tours

Do any of you have any experience with *Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tours*? I can see that they are recomended on this forum as well as on trip advisor, but only by members of their own staff... Any recomandations or warnings concerning this company?

Thanks for any advice.

Hello, whether they can be trusted or not none of us may guarantee. But a good step is check whether they are members of the Association of Uganda Tour Operators. Here is the link: http://www.auto.or.ug/members.htm

As I see Akeza Tours listed in this discussion thread, I want to pass on this official warning I saw from Virunga National Park about Akeza Tours - http://www.visitvirunga.org/warning-akeza-tours/

"We would like to inform all our (potential) visitors not to trust nor do business with the company AKEZA TOURS. Virunga National Park has blacklisted this company and will not accept reservations from them as a result of misconduct and unreliability to their clients. Please contact our sales office in order to get advise on reliable tour operators in the region. Also be aware that Virunga National Park remains closed (both the Mountain Gorillas as well as the Nyiragongo volcano) until further notice due to current insecurity in the region."

Hello everybody,

Me and my partner have used "mountain gorilla coffee tours" travel agency in our recent holiday in Uganda.
They are very professional and the quality/ price in more than acceptable.
Our trip was of 10 days last August, we had a car with a guide for the two of us that came to pick us up in Kampala.
Our itinerary was Kampala-Kisoro-Queen Elisabeth national park-Murchison Falls National Park-Jinja-Entebbe-Kampala.

During the trip we've seen Gorillas, chimpanzees , 4 out of the "big five" and hundreds of birds.

We've been sleeping in some guest houses. An experience highly recommended (!!).

The stuff is well prepared, friendly and always ready to satisfy your "last minute change" requests.

They provide as well a local community experience where you can interact with kids in schools.

To sum up, Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tours have meet our expectations.

Hi guys..I also travelled with Moutain Gorilla Coffee Tours and I can reccomend them..it's a small travel agency based in Kisoro and they are promoting a lot community projects. The guide Robert was simply great! Coolest think was the homestay experience on lake Mutanda.

Hi everybody. We ended up with a fantastic experience with Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tours. we found the gorillas after less than one hour trekking, we enjoyed staying in the local community just next to the lake and had a great coffe roasting and making session. would really recomend this little company.
