9-day itinerary in Japan (early Nov) - HELP!

Hi All,

I and 2 other girlfriends will be in Japan from Nov 4-13. this will be my 2nd trip to Japan after 2 years (mid-end Nov). In my earlier trip I went to Sendai, Matsushima, Tokyo, Hakone, Nikko, Kanazawa (only for Kenrokuen) Matsumoto, Kamikouchi, Kyoto, Arashiyama, Nara (halfday), Kobe(half day), Osaka, Hiroshima and Miyajima.

For this coming trip, I have in total 9 days to travel and am planning to get a 7-day JR pass and will use it to the max! I really need help with my itinerary. Generally I am targeting scenic areas (Japanese gardens, national parks; I love hiking, gorges), historical places (castles, edo town/museum etc.), cultural areas. I'm not a big fan of big cities, and not planning to visit Osaka or Tokyo cities extensively. But will still need to go there since this is the first trip for my other 2 friends.

Some places that I have my eyes on are: Lake Towadako, Oirase Gorge,Karuizawa, Shosenkyo Gorge, Senjogahara,Kamakura, Okayama, Nagano, Kurobe Gorge, Shirakawago, Nagasaki, Takachiho Gorge, Fuji Five Lakes, Koyasan, Kamakura. I most definitely will spend a couple of days in Kyoto/Nara. I know I shouldn't bee greedy, and I'll never get to visit all these places due to time & budget constraints, so I need help to narrow down the places to go to. Based on the timing I'm may be a bit late to catch the autumn foliage at Lake Towada and Oirase Gorge, right?

To save on accom and time, I'll probably need to take overnight train and buses that are covered by JR pass. So basically, my itinerary looks like this;
4/11 - Arrive 10.40p.m Haneda (sleep at Airport)
5/11 - ??
6/11 - Activate JR Pass ??
7/11 - ??
8/11 - ??
9/11 - ??
10/11 - ??
11/11 - Kyoto/ Nara?
12/11 - Kyoto/ Nara? Overnight bus to Tokyo
13/11 - Around Tokyo, Kawagoe city maybe, flight dprt 11 p.m.

I know, there isnt much (almost nothing), but I'm having trouble deciding the places to go to... Would appreciate any of your help, comments or suggestions on a doable itinerary based on some of the places I mentioned above.
