Far north Bangladesh

Hi all,
In December I'll go to Bangladesh for the 4th time but I've never been in the far north. So, I'll enter from Siliguri in India and I'd like to spend some time in the north. I'd visit Patgram with the Tin Bigha corriidor. Then Rangpur. There is supposed to be a way to go from Rangpur to Kurigram. Then to Chilmari, cross by ferry to Rahumari, then slowly to Jamalpur and Mymensingh. From there I'd go to Sylhet before going to Dhaka. IDoes that sound too adventurous? Has anyone gone this way? Thanks
JP

From Mymensingh , there is some local buses goes ( Mymensingh - Kisorgonj ) & Kisorgon - Bhirob via Sylhet. if you travel this rood, then you donot need to come back to Dhaka.

There are 'roads' throughout BD but in all conditions. Some river navigation and very small ferry crossings will be necessary. You CAN go this way but transportation may require delays. From Sylhet you can swing down through Srimangal(some of the most beautiful countryside in BD) and over to Dhaka.
If you can get to Kishorganj from Mymensing you can hire a boat to get you up to Karimganj(i think) and then there is some quite beautiful ways up into Jamirganj and into Sylhet.
Above all....NEVER try crossing a bridge until you walk onto it and see that it will support you...NEVER. Don't ask
