Borabudur- Ijen in two days?
Hello,A couple of friends and me will be visiting Bali in December. We wanted to do a two day detour and visit the main temple complex at Borabudur and the Ijen crater.
I have the following questions
What is the best way to go from Denpasar to Yogjakarta?
Is two days sufficient to visit Borabudur and climb up to the Ijen crater?
What is the best way to get to Ijen from Borabudur?
Any information will be useful! thanks!

Hiiii,The best way to get from Denpasar to Yogyakarta you can use the plane about 55 minutes or use a shuttle bus about 18 hours.
2 days is not enough to visit Borobudur and climb the crater jen, but if you just visit the crater ijen and Yogyakarta within 2 days enough time. Because after visiting the crater in the morning. You will arrive in Yogyakarta at dawn evening.

In two days you can only do Borobudur...(travel time included) but I would add Prambanan as well. If you really crush it, you could go up to the Dieng Plateau which is also in the same general area in Central Java.3
Agree, skip Ijen. It could be cloudy anyway in December. Just fly from Bali to Yogya and back and visit Borobudur and Parambanan.
