I have put together a little video of a couple of the trip reports that Henning made at "Any Port in a Storm." I think it shows his eye for the marvelous and the mundane in Cambodia, always fascinating, no matter what.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvumNMd7pc0

I'm slow on the uptake but was greatly saddened to find this post on the TT. We never met - I should have made greater efforts when Henning was in Australia a year or so ago - but I regarded him as a good web friend and we crossed paths often enough via post and PM.He was an ideal member for this forum, good humoured, full of good advice but not full of himself and never one to engage in the petty disputes and backbiting that from time to time beset this forum.
A great loss to the Thorn Tree and to the world in general.

i've been out of the SEasia forums for a while, so only saw this sad news now. i add my voice to the many moving tributes here; Henning also helped me through two trips with sage, thorough and kind advice. he will be missed and his words treasured.may we learn from him to travel well and graciously, and to continue to offer assistance with love.
