Israel to SE Asia tips and advice
Hello Friends,Sometime in November I am hoping to do a water route from Israel to Thailand. I have no real experience sailing. So I am wondering what tips and advice you can give to help me make this happen.
I can try to go to a neighboring country to leave, and am ok with arriving more or less anywhere in SE Asia and then trying to find a connecting boat or travel by land to arrive in Thailand. I would love a paid position, would be happy with working for free passage, and am ok with some sort of split cost or partial payment situation as long as the payment is not to high. I would be happy to jump on a yacht or a freighter, or anything else that will get me there safely.
What are your recommendations? I went through the recommended websites and am scanning through all of them, but are there any other resources you know of, perhaps things specific to the region? Do you by any chance know of someone about to do this journey? People have told me I should just go to marinas and talk to people, do you have any recommendations which marina in Israel I should head to?
Thanks for the help

I can't help you with info about transport options but I'd like to make two comments:1) Be aware that if you have evidences of a visit to Israel you won't be able to enter some countries (e.g.: Saudi Arabia or Sudan).
2) I assume you are aware of piracy in Somalia and the Gulf of Aden; aren't you?
