cycling from new Kunming airport

The road is very 'cycable", (but over 30k's), not as bad as for example Bangkok, where you will probably be dead before reaching the city.3
Some parts of the main route from the new airport to the city center are via expressways, where bicycles are either discouraged or forbidden. You will not be able to take the shortest way because of that. You will have to go on secondary roads, some of which can be pretty busy, depending on time of day. those roads next to the expressways are not safe. Lots of sketchy buses with loud horns, tractors, donkeys, ferraris, schoolchildren crossing the road, rickshaws, exposed engine 3-wheelers, trucks with loud horns, motorcycles, debris falling off trucks... Better to find a fun route on the satellite map on less trafficked roads
