7Thank you for your recommendations. I received my Lonely Planet this morning and have been working out some ideas.
Mahmud, is it possible to take the Rocket steamer directly to Barisal from Dhaka?
Also, is there a bus from Barisal to Bagerhat? I would like to work that into my itinerary.
What do you think of this?:
Sept 29: arrive Dhaka late at night
Sept 30: day in Dhaka, Rocket steamer trip
Oct 1: Hularhat - Bagerhat by bus (is that possible?, how long does it take?) Night in Bagerhat or Khulna
Oct 2: Bus to Barisal, night in Barisal
Oct 3 Ferry to Mojuchowfdhuryhut and on to Chittagong.
Oct 4: Chittagong - Rangamati, night in Rangamati
Oct 5: Back to Chittagong, night train to Dhaka
Oct 6: day in Dhaka, fly back home in the evening

12Wow thats quite an insight.. I wish i should've seen this before so i didnt wasted 3 of my 20 day trip to Bangladesh
Erikob, indeed i went to the ship-breaking yard.. the workers were friendly, but their supervisors got pissed.. they thought i am from a human rights organization. They know they are carrying unhealthy practices to work there.. i was asked to leave the premises without clicking further pictures..
is there anyway.. i could cover the whole thing..
and yeah Masud nice breakdown.. will follow some of it and let u know how much i have enjoyed the whole drill..
