Travel between Bangkok's airports!

I'm wondering how easy (or not) it is to travel between Don Muang & Suvarnabhumi airports in Bangkok??
Thanx!

As far as i'm aware there is a shuttle service in between the two , just make inquires at arrivals and they should be able to point you in the right direction , i've never used it my self , but there should be somebody along shortly who will help !

VERY easy to find info yourself, as this has been asked and answered LOADS of times already.

Just Copy and Paste your thread title into the search box up at top right and hit GO.

Magic, innit??

Search!! this gets asked every 2 days.

It's easy.

There's a bus shuttle. 90 minutes. There's endless Taxi's ... 45-60 minutes.

Hi
There's a Shuttle bus free from 5.00-22.00 pm and buses run every hour its service during August 1st - September 30th,2012.
- Suwannaphum go to the second floor at gate 3.
- Don Muang go to the first floor at Arrivals.
if you have many luggages take Taxi or Minivan.

There is a mini van service for 40/45 baht that leaves from the same place as the taxis - very easy

Sorry I must admit I did not open the photo

I had not realised that the free bus was only temporary. Not only does/did it take 90 minutes they say there is no space for luggage which when you consider it was betwen airports this was an odd decision.

The main point for anyone at Suvarnabhumi is that both regular mini vans to Don Muang and taxis both leave from the airport terminal from virtually the same place whereas the other public buses leave from the transportation centre and it is necessary to connect by shuttle bus

C'mon Al - you know better than that. This Is Thailalaland. When our Thai friends start to make logical, practical decisions we'll all be able to stop despairing. Do NOT hold your breath!

Would a bus operator make money running a proper shuttle bus every 20 minutes 24/7? You betcha they would!
Will anybody set up such a service before the big switch on 01 October? You betcha they won't!

I always use the mini van shuttle and will continue to do so never even thought about bothering with the 554 or 555 bus service as I find that the mini van provides an excellent and quick transfer

that was my understanding and as far as I know there are no plans for it to cease. My point is that when ever there is a question about the easiest way between the two airports many posters seem to ignore this excellent service and reccommend either transfering at the transportation centre or even complicated journies using the airport express and taxis.

The quickest AND easiest is the taxi direct and then this mini van
