The beaches are all great on this coast, the best beach is Siesta Key, super white, super fine sand.

You should consider Sanibel Island, Florida. You would fly into Fort Myers which is RSW airport. It is about 15 miles from the airport. Sanibel is know for shelling. There are 15 miles of beaches, 22 miles of bike paths, great restaurants and NO traffic lights. For more information the Sanibel Chamber of Commerce has a lot of visitor information.
