Closed door restaurant recommendations
Has anyone been to any?I went to * http://nolabuenosaires.com * last week with my husband and we had an AMAZING night, both culinary and socially.
Price was around fifty dollars for a four course dinner with wine pairing. The house is incredible. Can't beat the value.
Anybody have recommendations for other 'puerta cerradas' or really good dining experiences in BA? We're getting a bit bored of the local cuisine (beef & empanadas) and got a bit of a teaser last week at NOLA with all the fresh seafood and vegetables.
Any and all dining recommendations are welcome. Gracias!

You could try Casa Saltshaker, Dan Perlman has a closed door restaurant.http://www.casasaltshaker.com/indexen.htm

I've never been to a closed-door restaurant, but if you want something other than beef and empanadas in Buenos Aires you might try il gran caruso in Palermo. They have a good selection of pasta dishes (their pasta is still handmade), and they have seafood on the menu as well.3
Sounds like spam. I can't believe that in a place like Buenos Aires you need to go to somebody's house and pay US$50 to have a good dining experience. Of course, feel free to prove I'm wrong and your review is genuine.4
haha No spam here!Prices are getting out of control at local restaurants. We were more than happy to pay 50 bucks for what we got (gumbo with CRAB & shrimp, salad of endives, etc), especially considering the vino that was poured. The cafe down the street from me charges 80 pesos for a SALAD and it's not even good!!! No, 50 dollar dinners isn't something I'm doing every week but when you compare it to the other options, it isn't that pricey.
