solo or Globus tour in switzerland

I'm traveling to Switzerland solo next year, will I feel out of place and has anyone ever done a Globus tour to there?

Hello

This all depends on whether you've done solo travel before, and your personality. I spent a month solo in Switzerland in May this year. I'm an introverted person, happy with my own company, so travelling solo really suits me.

I found the Swiss to be pleasant enough but not going out of their way to strike up conversations or be overly friendly. Then again, I wasn't terribly open or inviting of the same.

So, it depends on whether you meet people easily, the type of accommodation you're staying in (eg hostels with common areas are better for meeting other people) etc.

Another option would be to travel solo, but arrange chartered day trip type tours. There's always group walking tours of the city centres eg, or guided tours of museums, and day bus sightseeing trips, or full day boat cruises etc. on offer. Most good hotels/hostels will help you arrange these. This can work very well, because you meet like minded people along the way, but you're not stuck in the same bus with the same crowd for an extended period.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy it!
