Few days in betweenHey everyone,
I would be happy to hear some advise on this:
In between crossing east Turkey to Batumi and meeting a friends in Tbilisi, I have around 3-4 days and I thought to spend them in Adjara region.
I always enjoy walking around villages and hikes in Gerogia, and saw there is a national park - Mtirala, not far from Batumi. Looks nice for what I'm looking for - nature walks, preferably along some river or water source, staying with local families and just stop for some conversations with people in between.
The park site shows some nice pictures but not much information about hikes and how to start/do them.
Anyone visited there ?
Should I start from Chakvistavi ? I will find some daily hikes to do from there ?
Other places to visit ? Any other tips ?

1I used to live in Batumi and had never heard of this national park and wondered why. Turns out, it was created only a few years ago--part of an ambitious new scheme by President Saakashvili's government to designate a lot of Georgia's wild lands as parks or preserves.
From the little I can gather online, it looks as though the park is still in the very early stages of development, so you probably shouldn't expect much in terms of tourist amenities beyond a visitor's center and a few rough trails. If you do go, you should definitely post a report here about what you find. I've done some hiking in the Kintrishi Valley to the north of the new park, and it's very pretty countryside with clear streams, old-growth forests, and views of the Meskheti range.
