Hi. I stayed at Gondia International Guesthouse in Cikini. It's a 30 min walk from Gambir Railway Station. Some food and shops close by. It cost 200,000 rupiah for ac room with attached shower/toilet in 2010. Safe, clean, comfy.Good luck!3
Around jalan jaksa is the best place to start! Central place to stay, a short walk from the National monument and museum. I stayed at a little place for about $15 (matrimonial) on gang 12 just of jaksa, forgot the name sorry. But it's not a large street At all!! Several options!4
