We need your advice on our Indian Intinerary please its very appreciated
Hi thereThanks so much for taking the time to help confirm whether our Indian adventure is too rushed and whether we are spending too much or too little time in places. I am intitially going to India for my friends wedding and then plan to travel for two weeks after this. We are leaving mid September for three weeks with one week being the wedding
Our intinerary and mode of travel is below and advice, wisdom that you could offer would be very appreciative.
Plus are there any sights, restaurants or local must sees that you could share please.
Panchkula- Amiritsar- Wagah Border ( by taxi) staying one night
Amiritsar- Dehli (train) staying in Dehli one night as we are staying with our Indian friend who lives there.
Dehli- Agra- Udaipur (overnight train) 2nights/3 days in Udaipur
Udaipur- Jodhpur (o/n in Jodhpur) bus
Jodhpur- Jaisalmer (train in the morning arriving at 11am) 2nights in Jaisalmer hoping to stay in the desert.
Jaisalmer back to Jodhpur airport for a 12:55pm flight to Goa
The options are either by taxi from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur airport. Does anyone know how long that will take. We have read that it takes 6-7 hours on the road.
Has anyone done this before and used a reputable and safe company that offered an excellent price?
I have also read that you can take a bus but it will take 8-9 hours.
Arrive at Jodhpur Airport and fly to Goa for three nights.
We were thinking of staying in South Goa as its quieter as we are looking to relax but are open to any ideas of great places to stay in Goa.
Then after three days fly back to Dehli.
I know that its rushed and that India doesnt have a reliable transport network. Is there anything that you would cut out and why or anything you think we should extend please.
Thanks so much for you help as we are feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment

i think Jaisalmer - Jodhpur looks like a 6 hrs trip....i dunno the road condition..Jiasalmer is @ the heart of Thar...next time do visit the beautiful province of Uttaranchal just 250 kms northeast of Delhi...3
Getting back from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur for a flight at 1pm ... ? You need to check in by Noon - so figure 8 hours drive (and do figure extra) - your leaving by taxi at 3-4 am.Personally I'd cut out Jaisalmer ... it's way out in the middle of nowhere. You can get your camel fix anywhere in Rajasthan - and Jodhpur has an amazing fort.

Pinjaur Gardens which is about 1 hour drive from Panchkula and in Chandigarh which is just next to Panchkula there are two popular tourist sites "Rock Garden" and "Rose Garden".
Also there is a lot to see in historic Delhi the capital of India and I think you should spend more than a day in Delhi if you can find the time.
whether our Indian adventure is too rushed
I think it is rushed as you are doing Delhi-Agra-Udaipur-Jodupur-Jaisalmer-Jodhpur-Goa-Delhi.All very nice places and it can all be done in two weeks that you have but it sound very hectic to me and I would cut out either Jaisalmer or Goa and since I am a fan of Goa I would myself cut out Jaisalmer but it is your trip and you can do it if you don't mind the pace so by all means stick to your plan.

One week for wedding is too long - ask your friend to finish the wedding in a day or max 2 days so you will have more travel time in India ! Good Luck.
