Ft Worth and Nashville

Hi,

My husband and I are travelling to the US in March/April/May next year. We have been looking around alot on forums and things like that at all the places to visit, we knew we wanted to go to Nashville and we had thought about Dallas, alot of forums said skip Dallas and do Ft Worth which i have looked into and it seems like a fun town. We have about 10 or so days for these places and i was wonder where we should spend most of our time or should we split time between them equally.

Also are they the type of places that you need to be on a weekend cause nothing much happens throught the week days or is any day lively?

Thanks in advance.. :)

Ft. Worth and Austin. But Austin's about a 3.4 hr drive from "Foat Wuth".

They don't call Dallas Ft. Woth, the "Metroplex" for no reason.

South of the river on the main street (South Congress is like California at a decent price.Austin is a greart place to have fun. Artsy fartsy city.

Do you wish to advise where you are coming from to get to Texas, and where you plan to go (I guess after Nashville)? I assume you're driving. If you have up to three months in the country on a road-trip, it would still seem excessive to have 10 days in the Fort Worth - Dallas - Nashville region ... it seems to me.

Spend about three whole days in DFW. The rest in Austin and San Antone.

Fort Worth is cooler that Dallas.

What route are you driving? What are your interests? I see no reason to visit Dallas, but I haven't been to Ft. Worth and can't comment. Is there a reason you need to be in Texas at all?

If you transit through Houston, it is worth a stop if you are interested in amazing food: http://www.oxfordamerican.org/articles/2012/aug/27/new-south-journalism-local-fare/.
