Dostyk border Uzbekistan to Kyrgystan
I want to cross the border at Dostyk from Uzbekistan to Kyrgystan, to get from the Uzbek Fergana Valley to Osh and start the Pamir Highway at Osh. How is the border crossing right now? Do I need any special permits in that region for Kyrgystan? And I would be a woman alone (leaving one travel group in Uzbekistan, meeting a new travel partner at Osh) - will that be fine? Thanks for any advice.
