Cesky krumlov, my love and devotion
I know this is a tourist place, and nowadays there is a lot of tourists from Japan, because of hotel Ruzes offencive in japan after the hotels upgrade. But I dont mind the people , and most of them has a smile on their face because the town is so beautiful.I am norwegian, and I have been there over 25 times since 1992. Why do i come back?
I have friends, there, and a lot of memories, that counts. I try to recognise within me what drags me to Krumlov, and I think the most important thing is the beuty, the calm sidestreets, the nice tavernas and restaurants, the wine and the beer, all combind with memories. For me, Krumlov is a state of mind. All the people dont stress, me really, but if it does, I know some gems, 20 meeter from the hassel. Like the Van Gough bar!
This town has made this inpact on me, and I dont expect other too feel the same. But I have some advices:
Stay at least three nights.
When you go to the castle, dont make an incide tour your main goal..Make the valking through the courtyards, with the view your main goal.
Walk in sidestreets, enjoy your walking instead of using it as a metod to go from a to b.
Go to the vax museum! Brilliant.
Visit a restaurant in Parkan street, for exampel the Laibon. (Vegetarian) You dont have to eat. It is a lovely way to watch the life on Vltava in the summer months. People in the floats screem "ahoy" to you (hello) and you should scream back.
Accomodation....Try Villa Garibaldi! A bit walking, but the walk through Rosveltova street is nice. Then you could try the "U Baby" Nice to drink, and meet czech people!.
Willa garibaldi has a lovely Italian owner that wants to talk alot, but just tell him your needs, and he will wake up.
