Non-Smoking Hostels in Egypt?
Don't want to complain, but...After years of travel and literally hundreds of Hostels, I can no longer put up with inhaling smoke when I am trying to sleep; coming under the door or otherwise.
Has anyone stayed in, or know of a good Hostel in Cairo (perhaps Luxor too) that is smoke free? Or at least close to it?
Never done Egypt, but I'm betting everyone smokes indoors.
Thanks!

In case anyone else cares, I just learned that "The Brothers Hostel" in Cairo forbids smoking indoors. Unlike many others that I emailed.3
i stayed in Brothers Hostel in May. not sure if they forbid smoking or not but i did not smell anything. And for USD 8 per night, you get a free airport pickup n simple breakfast. Meanwhile my friend who booked a 5 star hotel offers airport pickup at a cost of USD 90!!! hilarious!Luxor, i stayed at Boomerang. I didn't see anyone smoking indoors either nor smell it at all.

In one of the LP guides for some city, I read that while you have to pay $$ for a ride to your (luxury) hotel, the budget hotels offer free pickup. You'd think with all the money you pay for a luxury hotel, they'd pick you up for free. This is a great thread - we need one for non-smoking hostels everywhere. I read that while Turkey bans smoking indoors, everyone ignores it (in restaurants also). I hope I can find non-smoking lodging there as well.
