Is it safe for an asian girl to travel sana'a alone now?
How's the transportation between old town(hotel) and airport?

The real question is... can you get a visa? It is quite difficult to get a visa for independent travel. Most travellers have to use a travel agency. But IF you can get a visa, Sana'a is fine. There are the occasional bombing, but these are targeted at police/military targets. They are not random attacks in markets or public areas.

There are only taxis to/from the airport. There are no buses, shuttles and certainly no train or metro

Is it safe to take a taxi alone in New York? Is it safe to take a taxi alone in Moscow? I'm not sure what answer you're looking for. If you want a guarantee that nothing could possible happen to you, you're not going to get it. Stuff happens to people all the time in all corners of the globe, Yemen is no different.

Yes Sana'a is safe . transportation between old Sana'a , Depends on the time of arrival, you can take a bus from outside the airport (from the main road) you can walk from the airport to road just two minutes. If arrival late (Yellow Taxi).

I was in Sana'a just one week ago, travelling alone and did not have any problem.

I asked the hotel from old city to organize my taxi transfer from/to airport, just to be sure not to have any problem

Generally speaking, most tourists to Yemen these days need to use a tour agency. There have been stories of people getting visas without agencies (from Djibouti) but it's not normal. Furthermore, travel outside Sana'a is severely limited as travel permits are very difficult now for foreigners to get. It's ok if you want to fly anywhere (ie Socotra, Aden, Ta'izz) but overland travel is nearly impossible.

I've confirmed I can get visa through travel agency in Japan...
But the news that ministry of defense(beside old city?)was attacked on mid August made me really worried...
Are these things or protests be pre-announced?
I wouldn't encounter any problems as long as I stay in old city?

Any attacks, anywhere in the world, happen without notice. The thing to remember is, in Yemen, attacks are happening to military, police and government sites. They are not random or in public areas. But attacks are a part of life here and a serious concern for travellers to the region.

People on travel sites often ask "is it safe". As i said, stuff happens to people all the time in all corners of the globe, Yemen is no different. If you're looking for a guarantee that nothing bad will happen during your visit here, you not going to get it

Does tourists has chance of kidnap in Sana'a?
Has Norwegian UN staff and Italian embassy staff got kidnapped in Sana'a because they're not tourists? Or depends on the car they're on? Do they target foreigner on the normal taxi?
