Rent apartment in Barcelona

Hallo! We are travelling for the first time to Spain this september.
We are going to stay a few days in Barcelona and I would like to rent an apartment in the city.
I wonder if someone could tell me about a good place to stay for a family of 4. Good location and cleanliness are the things we really care about. No need of luxury.

Any advice will be welcome.

Thank you all

Hi - and welcome to Thorn Tree.

Just type into Google....

'Apartment Rentals Barcelona'.
There are so many sites, with masses of choice and prices.
Best of luck with everything.

Hola,

Thank you both. I will look carefully at these sites and I will google too.
Also if someone has stayed in a good but not expensive apartment and want to share some information, I would be very grateful.

Gracias!

I only do cheap hotels in Spain - just for washing, bed and (possibly) breakfast.
I'm always up and out early. An apartment is not practical for me.
Hope you get somewhere nice.

I think I have found a good apartment that fits our family. Great location and non expensive because I have avoided agencies!

Thanks again for your help

Finally, a friend's friend's recommendation. I have contacted the owner and it seems it looks fine.
I will let you know in a month.

Now the next target is to get tickets for FCBarcelona. My kids won't forgive me if they don't see Messi in action!!

Back from Barcelona! Thanks for the good advices.
My family and I spent 5 fabolous days in Barcelona and Catalonia.

We could also see a match in Camp Nou. I must say that it was a little too expensive. But it was a must for the kids.

At least we saved money staying in an apartment instead of a hotel. It had all we needed and the owners were more than helpful. It was so close to Sagrada familia that we saw the temple everyday!

It was a great coincidence that they were celebrating their local fiestas "Merce" and there were many activities.
