birdwatching in Botswana?

We are two women traveling together and looking for budget birdwatching guides. We are looking for suggestions. Is it possible to get just a day or a couple. Any ideas? Also interested in Namibia.

If you are in Maun you can go to the Wilderness Safari office right across the street from the airport. They have last minute deals into the delta that are 70% off but you have to BE there and be willing to leave within 14 days. We had an unforgettable experience at Xigera Lodge. The Mekoro trips into the delta to see birds were wonderful. You can book for as little as 2 days. If you want to read about our experience, see photos: http://www.lifewellspent.com

This if very off the beaten track, but Mahango Game REserve in the Caprivi strip, Namibia, is full of birds (see here)

We have had great birding experiences with the guides at the exotic Ngepi Camp in Namibia and have returned there several times from the USA. Many many birds are within the fenced river front property, but a bird walk or river float with the guides there is not to be missed. In addition, as cc said above, Mahango does not disappoint. We once saw wattled cranes mating, two ostriches managing a very big nursery of babes!
