Visa
Can someone confirm that you can still get a full Egypt visa at Nuweiba port (someone posted this information almost 2 years ago, so I want to confirm it's still true)? I am planning to take the ferry from Aqaba to Nuweiba in Novenber, visiting the Sinai for a few days, then on to touring the Nile for 2 weeks or so.Also I was in the process of applying online to a local consulate, but their only ports of entry listed are Safaga and Sauz. Also, they want an exact date of entry, but I haven't finalized my itinerary yet and only know that it will most likely be in November, so was going to put down November 1 and say I am staying for a month - is that ok?

There is an Egyptian consulate in Aqaba. Got my visa in 15 minutes--no hassle! Also took the night ferry and did immigration on boat before departed Aqaba.3
amyzengrace, did you get the full visa - not the 2 week Sinai only visa?4
Got the full visa. Had downloaded the forms from one of the Egypt tourism websites, had it all filled out--my 2 photos; walked into the consulate at 1030am, and thanks to the extremely efficient Um Mohammad, had the visa signed by the consul, stamped and was out of the door in 15 minutes. Had previously tried at the embassy in Amman, but was told after two days to come back with a letter from my employer on why I was travelling to Egypt... yada yada yada--I knew I could get it on the ferry, but we had extra time in Aqaba so we stopped by the consulate (Um Mohammad couldn't stop laughing at my "experiences" with the embassy in Amman--none of the crap they wanted was necessary for a tourist visa).5
On the Egyptian consulate web site http://www.mfa.gov.eg/english/ConsularServices/Pages/VisaApplication.aspx? (you have to create an online account) there is only an online application (no printable forms) and it only lists Safaga and Suaz as options for port of entry! I was going to try to obtain my visa prior to travel since I am departing in a month, but it is a problematic process so far...Also I am wondering about getting a visa to Jordan. I was going to try to obtain that in advance as well rather than wasting time in Jerusalem, but was going to do that process right after obtaining the Egypt visa... I don't suppose I could get a quickie visa at the Allenby Bridge crossing since Jordan considers the West Bank in their country and not a border...
