OLT Express

I'm looking for a direct flight between Krakow and Gdansk. LOT doesn't have a direct flight. According to OLT Express.com, they fly this several times a day, but I read that they have grounded their Poland flights. Does anyone know which of these is correct, or likely to be true in 3 weeks or so?

Hi....

Yeah - OLT Expess (Poland) has gone plop. It went under about 2 weeks ago.
OLT Germany is (at present) still operating.
LOT doesn't have any direct flights, but the shortest flight time(s) with connections, is well under 3 hours.
The fares are reasonable enough.
It's a great airline. I've taken it loads of times.

OLT Express went bankrupt, there are no chances of resuming the flights. Eurolot has direct flights, though LOT with a change in WAW is cheaper.

Eurolot is new, from what I understand. According to their route map, they fly from Krakow to Gdansk. I am about to book a flight from Krakow to Lviv and it is only $58.

Krakow-Lviv is probably less than 200km.?
Is it worth flying? You need to get to/from both airports and of course be there before the flight.
Isnt there bus options? I'm wondering if indeed you'll save time or money?

Krakow-Lviv is only 320 km, but it's at least 5-6 hour drive - due to heavy traffic and long queues at the border. Train is even slower.

Not really. Eurolot was founded as a daughter company of LOT airlines ca. 15 years ago. Initially it was running domestic flights within Poland. Recently it started started to do short haul international flights. Definitely more reliable than OLT Express.

OLT Express Germany is still operating.
It's only the Polish bit that's gone plop.
