Parque Plaza Sesamo in Monterrey?

HI All -
Does anyone have first hand experience with this park?
Everything I read online (TripAdvisor reviews, etc) varies wildy. Some say it is dirty and terrible, others say it is perfect for kids. Because of the disparate reviews, it ends up with three stars out of five on most sites.
Please advise -
Thanks!

My experience is from about 3 years ago. It is not very big - you can't really spend more than 2-3 hours there but our kids enjoyed it. There are little shows put on for the kids every hour or so (all in Spanish of course) and a few rides but it's not comparable to your average Six Flags. It's probably more enjoyable if you know what "Sesame Street" is (we don't). There is a water park attached (but separate) although we didn't go there. It wasn't dirty when we were there. Overall I'd say it's a pleasant way for kids to pass a few hours.

I think Queretaro has given a pretty fair summary. The two times I have been, the park was clean and well maintained. I suspect the dirty and terrible reviews were based on comparisons to US theme parks.

Plaza Sesamo is fine for pre-teens, but I don't think it would be as enjoyable for older kids. There are not a lot of rides as Queretaro said. Bosque Magico is a theme/amusement park in the southeast part of the city that is more oriented to teens and young adults and is worth a visit.

This is more a cautionary tip than a suggestion, but it can brutally hot in Monterrey during the summer---upwards of 99-104° F / 37-40°C.

Thanks, Altahabana -
We know it is going to be a bit toasty! We had temps like that here this summer too.
Summer is really the only chance we get for long road trips as both my wife and I are teachers.

Given their ages, at least three of your kids would probably like water parks or other aquatic attractions. Further south there are many of those in attractive rural locales, catering to urban Mexican families.
